What to know about your iPhone 17 Pro Max
The iPhone 17 Pro Max display
The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch OLED display. OLED panels often keep working after a drop but then show green or pink lines, black ink spots that spread, flickering, or touch that stops responding. Once the panel itself is damaged, a screen protector or software update won't fix it, and the full display assembly needs replacing.
Face ID and sensors
Face ID sits in the top of the phone, not in the display. We carefully move the earpiece and sensor parts from your old screen to the new one, so Face ID, the proximity sensor, and calls work as before.
Apple parts notice
On newer iPhones, iOS lists replaced parts in Settings > General > About. If a screen isn't Apple-sourced, it may show as an "Unknown Part". It's a notice only and doesn't stop the screen working, and we'll explain the difference between grades before we start.
How the repair works
- 1Bring your iPhone 17 Pro Max in or book online. We check the display, touch, and frame, then confirm the price before any work starts.
- 2Choose your screen grade. Every grade has the same 12-month warranty.
- 3We fit the new screen, usually in under 30 minutes for in-stock parts. Your photos, apps, and data stay on the phone.
- 4We test touch across the whole panel, brightness, the cameras, sensors, and calls before you pick it up.
iPhone 17 Pro Max screen repair FAQs
- How long does an iPhone 17 Pro Max screen replacement take?
- Most iPhone 17 Pro Max screens are replaced in under 30 minutes when the part is in stock. You can wait in store or grab a coffee in Lennox Village while we work.
- Will I lose my photos or data?
- No. A screen replacement doesn't touch your phone's storage, so your photos, messages, and apps stay as they are. We still recommend an iCloud backup before any repair, just in case.
- Is it worth replacing the screen on an iPhone 17 Pro Max?
- In almost every case, yes. A new screen costs a fraction of a replacement phone, keeps a working device out of landfill, and avoids setting up a new phone. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you honestly and can show you certified refurbished options instead.
- Do I need to book?
- No booking is needed, so you can walk in to our Emu Plains store at Lennox Village. Booking online lets you see the live price for your iPhone 17 Pro Max first and makes sure the part is ready when you arrive.
